Sen. Tolentino, naniniwalang lumabag sa Anti Wiretapping Law ang Chinese diplomat na nakausap ni dating WESCOM Chief Vice Admiral Alberto Carlos

Naniniwala si Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino na may naganap na wiretapping at nilabag ng Chinese diplomat na nakausap ni dating Western Command Chief Vice-Admiral Alberto Carlos ang Anti Wiretapping Act ng bansa o ang Republic Act 4200.

Ito ay matapos dumalo sa pagdinig ng Senate Committee on National Defense si Carlos at kinumpirma na nag-usap sila ni Chinese Military attaché Col. Li noong Enero.

Pero batay sa testimonya ni Carlos, hindi niya pinayagan na i-record ang kanilang pag-uusap.

Pinaniniwalaan aniya ni Tolentino ang testimonya ni Carlos.

Malinaw aniya itong paglabag sa ating lokal na batas at maging sa international law.

Dagdag pa ng mambabatas, kung pagbabasehan ang testimonya ni Carlos ay posibleng nagkaroon ng wiretapping, pero kailangan muna ma-authenticate ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang audio recording.
