Air Force, rumesponde sa pagputok ng Mt. Kanlaon

Nagsagawa kahapon ang Philippine Air Force (PAF) ng Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) kasunod ng phreatic eruption noong Lunes ng gabi ng Mt. Kanlaon sa Negros island.

Kasama ang mga tauhan ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 7 at Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Region 6, nag-inspeksyon sa mga apektadong lugar ang PAF gamit ang isang Bell 412 helicopter at isang UH-1H helicopter.

Ayon kay Philippine Air Force Spokesperson Col. Maria Consuelo Castillo, kabilang sa mga lugar na ininspeksyon ang Moises Padilla, La Carlota, La Castellana, Bago City, at Canlaon City sa Negros Occidental, para i-assess ang pinsala at alamin ang pangangailangan ng mga komunidad.

Sinabi pa ni Col. Castillo na inilagay na rin ng PAF sa high alert ang kanilang mga Disaster Response Team Units (DRTUs), fixed-wing aircraft, at rotary-wing helicopters, para sa agarang pagsasagawa ng humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) operations depende sa sitwasyon.  | ulat ni Leo Sarne
