DA, nakatutok sa pagtugon sa tumataas na presyo ng luya

Kumikilos na ang Department of Agriculture (DA) para matugunan ang mataas na presyo ngayon ng ilang pang-rekado gaya ng luya.

Batay sa price monitoring ng DA, umaabot sa hanggang ₱280 ang kada kilo ng luya sa ilang palengke.

Ayon kay DA Undersecretary Ching Caballero, kapos ngayon ang lokal na produksyon dahil patapos na ang anihan ng luya.

Kaugnay nito ay nakikipag-ugnayan na aniya ngayon ang DA sa mga may cold storage facility at mga lugar na nag-aani pa ng luya para madala ito sa Metro Manila at maibenta sa Kadiwa Center.

Target din ng DA na palawakin ang produksyon ng luya para masabayan ang demand nito. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
