Gross international reserves ng Pilipinas, nasa US$105 billion – BSP

Naitala ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) ang US$105 billion na gross international reserves (GIR) ng Pilipinas.

Mas mataas ito sa US$102.6 billion noong buwan ng Abril.

Sa inilabas na statement ng BSP, ang latest GIR ay indikasyon na sapat ang external liquidity buffer ng bansa.

Katumbas ito ng 7.7 months ng halaga ng imported goods at payment of service at primary income.

Ang GIR tally ay inilabas ng central bank bilang bahagi ng balance of payment report para sa May 2024 kung saan naitala ang surplus o sobrang US$2 billion mula sa naitalang deficit na US$439 million nong Mayo ng 2023.

Ang BoP surplus ng Mayo ay mula sa net foreign currency deposit ng national government sa BSP, proceeds ng ROP global bonds at kita mula sa mga investment ng BSP abroad. | ulat ni Melany Valdoz Reyes
