Japan Self Defense Force, nagpahayag ng suporta sa AFP sa insidente sa Ayungin Shoal

Tiniyak ng Japan Self Defense Force (JSDF) ang kanilang buong suporta sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) kasunod ng insidente noong June 17 sa Ayungin Shoal.

Ito’y sa pakikikipag-usap ni General Yoshihide Yoshida, Chief of Joint Staff JSDF, kay AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. sa pamamagitan ng video teleconference kahapon.

Dito’y nagpahayag ng pagkabahala si General Yoshihide sa sitwasyon sa West Philippine Sea dahil sa “escalation” na ginawa ng China.

Pinag-usapan din ng dalawang Heneral ang mga oportunidad sa pagtutulungan kasunod ng pamimirata ng Chinese Coast Guard sa routine rotation and resupply (RORE) mission ng AFP sa Ayungin Shoal.

Nagpasalamat naman si Gen. Brawner kay Gen. Yoshihide sa patuloy na suporta ng Japan, partikular sa pagiging isa sa unang limang bansa na pumanig sa Pilipinas at kumondena sa aksyon ng Chinese Coast Guard.  | ulat ni Leo Sarne
