Mambabatas, isinusulong ang pagpapalakas ng Carabao at Dairy Industry ng bansa

Isinusulong ni Agri Party Rep. Wilbert Lee ang karagdagang budget ng Philipine Carabao Center (PCC) upang i-upgrade ang kanilang research and innovation at pasiglahin ang dairy industry.

Ito ang inihayag ni Lee kasunod ng hiling ng National Dairy Authority (NDA) na na ₱2.5 billion na budget support sa procurement ng 5,000 imported na baka at laboratory facilities para sa anim na regional offices.

Diin ng mambabatas, suportado niya ang hangarin ng NDA na naglalayong pataasin ang dairy production at i-develop ang local dairy industry.

Sa ngayon nasa ₱89 million lamang ang nakalaang budget para sa research and development program nng PCC habang nasa ₱274 million naman ang para sa Herd Buil-up of Genetically – improved dairy buffalos.

Aniya mahalaga na mabigyan ng karagdagang pondo ang ahensya para sa konkretong plano at maayos na implementasyon ng pasilidad upang maiwasan ang pagkamatay ng mga imported na baka. | ulat ni Melany Valdoz-Reyes
