Nagsama-sama ang hindi bababa sa isang libong Filipino-Chinese para magsagawa ng Lakad Magkaibigan bilang pagdiriwang ng Filipino-Chinese Friendship Day.

Ang mga ito ay nagtipon-tipon sa Kartilya ng Katipunan sa Maynila para ipakita ang matatag na pagkakaibigan ng mga Pilipino at Chinese.

Sinabi ng ilang dumalo sa naturang pagtitipon, hindi sila apektado ng kasalukuyang girian ng Pilipinas at China sa isyu ng teritoryo.

Umaapela sila sa Pamahalaang Pilipinas at China na muling isalang sa masusing pag-uusap ang isyu ng West Philippine Sea upang maging maayos ang hindi pagkakaunawaan.

Naniniwala ang Filipino-Chinese Community na hindi gigyerahin ng China ang Pilipinas dahil itinuturing nitong matalik na kaibigan. | ulat ni Michael Rogas
