NACC, patuloy ang kampanya laban sa bentahan ng bata online

Muling nanawagan ang National Authority for Child Care (NACC) sa publiko na makiisa sa kampanya nito kontra sa bentahan ng bata online.

Ginawa ng NACC ang panawagan matapos na mapigilan ng mga otoridad kamakailan ang isa na namang tangkang pagbebenta ng dalawang batang biktima sa Catarman, Northern Samar.

Sa isang pahayag, muling umapela si NACC Undersecretary Janella Estrada sa publiko na huwag makibahagi o suportahan ang bentahan ng bata – online man o pisikal.

Giit nito, walang bata o sino mang indibidwal ang maaring ikalakal, abusuhin, o gamitin para sa pansariling interes.

Hindi rin aniya dapat hinahayaan na lamang ang illegal adoption dahil ito ay mapanganib sa buhay ng isang bata.

“Sa panahon ngayon, maraming klase ng pang-aabuso ang ginagawa sa mga batang biktima ng trafficking. Nariyan ang child abuse o sex exploitation, pati na ang child labor. Buhay ng tao ang pinag-uusapan natin. Huwag na sana kayong maging dahilan pa ng kanilang ikapapahamak,” ani Estrada.

Ipinunto rin ni Usec. Janella, ang nakasaad sa RA 11862 o ang Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2022 at R.A. 7610 na maaaring maparusahan at makulong habangbuhay at pagmumultahin din mula ₱2-million hanggang ₱5-million ang sino mang nagbebenta, tumatangkilik o tumutulong sa online baby selling.
