Pangulong Marcos, umaasang lalakas pa ang balikatan ng New Zealand at Pilipinas, lalo na sa kalakalan at pamumuhunan

Malugod na tinanggap ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. sa Malacañang si New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister at Minister for Foreign Affairs Winston Peters.

Ayon sa Pangulo, umaasa siyang matatalakay pa ng Pilipinas at New Zealand ang mga geopolitical issues sa rehiyon, gayundin ang pagpapalakas pa ng kooperasyon sa iba’t ibang larangan, tulad sa agrikultura, at trade and investment.

“Well, Mr. Prime Minister, I’m, of course, very pleased to be able to welcome you to Manila after the very good visit that your new Prime Minister had here with us just a few weeks ago,” -Pangulong Marcos.

Umaasa ang Pangulo na maipagpapatuloy ang una nang napagkasunduan ng dalawang bansa na sama-samang pag-tinding ng mga maliliit na nasyon at pagkakaroon ng posiyon sa ilang usapin sa rehiyon.

“And at which time they — we agreed on many things and one of which was that the situation in our part of the world requires that — shall we say the smaller countries get together and have a response or a joint positioning when it comes to these geopolitical issues that we are — these complicated geopolitical issues that we are facing,” -Pangulong Marcos.
