Dapat singilin at pagbayarin ng Pilipinas ang China sa sinapit ng ilang miyembro ng Philippine Navy at pagkasira ng ating sasakyang pandagat.
Ito ang iginiit ni Albay Representative Edcel Lagman matapos banggain ng Chinese Coast Guard ang resupply vessel ng Pilipinas na ikinasugat ng walong Navy kung saan ang isa ay sinabing naputulan pa ng daliri.
Giit ni Lagman, kailangan panagutin ng Pilipinas ang mga lulan ng barkong bumangga sa Philippine vessel sa loob miamo ng West Philippine Sea na ating teritoryo.
“The Philippines must demand justice and reparation for the injured Filipino Navy sailors and their damaged vessels as a result of the ruthless assault and aggression of Chinese coastguards in the West Philippine Sea, a maritime zone awarded to the Philippines by the Permanent Court of Arbitration in 2016. The government must demand from China the full identities of the culprits. The Chinese government is also liable as the principal of the culprits.” giit ni Lagman
Paalala nito, na ang government vessels ay extension ng Philippine territory at sovereignty na ano mang pinsala dito at injury na matamo ng naval personnel ay bahagi ng hurisdiksyon ng Pilipinas.
