Para kay Senator Loren Legarda, dapat pa ring idaan sa diplomatikong paraan ang pagharap sa tumataas na tensyon sa West Philippine Sea (WPS) at ang patuloy na harassment ng China sa ating mga tropa doon.

Ayon kay Legarda, bukod sa mga diplomatic protest ay dapat ring magkaroon ng diplomatic talks ang ating gobyerno sa China.

Pinunto ng mambabatas na market rin kasi ng mga produkto ng Pilipinas ang China.

Kaya naman dapat aniyang balansehin ang tolerance, pagpapasensya at ang paggamit ng constructive dialogue. 

Sang ayon rin si Legarda na maaaring ikonsidera ang suhestiyon ni Senate Majority Leader Francis Tolentino na humingi na ng tulong ang ating bansa sa ICRC. | ulat ni Nimfa Asuncion
