Ginawaran ni Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr. ng wounded personnel medal si Seaman 1C Jeffrey Facundo.

Si Facundo ay isa sa mga kasama sa RORE Mission sa Ayungin Shoal noong Hunyo 17, na nasugatan sa pangha-harass ng Chinese Coast Guard.

Si Brawner kasama ang iba pang opisyal ng Sandatahang lakas ay bumista sa Western Command sa Palawan ngayon araw upang kamustahin at alamin ang kondisyon ng mga tropa partikular na yong mga kasama sa nabanggit na RORE mission.

Ayon kay Gen. Brawner, nananatiling mataas ang morale ng mga sundalo sa kabila ng insidente.

Tiniyak naman ni Gen. Brawner na nananatiling determinado ang mga tropa na ipagtanggol ang soberenya ng bansa sa harap ng marahas at ilegal na aksyon ng China sa West Phil. Sea. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
