3.7 million indigent seniors, nakatanggap ng 2024 social pension – DSWD

Umabot na sa mahigit 3.7 million indigent senior citizens sa bansa ang nakatanggap na ng kanilang Social Pension simula Enero hanggang Hunyo ng taong ito.

May kabuuang P21.8 billion halaga ang naipamahagi ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Sa unang anim na buwan ngayong 2024 para sa 3,723,323 lolo at lola sa bansa.

Sa ilalim ng “Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010,” na binibigyan ng buwanang stipend sa mga indigent senior citizen para umagapay sa kanilang mga gastusin partikular na ang gamot.

Ang bawat indigent senior citizens ay makakatanggap ng monthly stipend na P1,000 mula sa dating P500 kada buwan na sinimulan noong Enero 024. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
