5 miyembro ng hacking syndicate na nambiktima ng ilang private at government website, naaresto na ng NBI

Nadakip na sa entrapment operation ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang limang miyembro ng hacking syndicate na sangkot sa pagbebenta sa personal data ng publiko.

Sa ulat ng NBI–Cybercrime Division, kabilang sa mga naaresto ay dalawang dayuhan.

Kasama sa mga Pinoy na kasabwat ay sina Eden Glenn Petilo, Carlo Reyna, John Kenneth Macarampat, isang Leonel Obina, at isa pang indibidwal.

Ayon sa NBI, kasama ang mga naaresto sa cybercrime group na “Blood Security Hackers”.

Batay sa imbestigasyon, sangkot ang grupo sa kaso ng data breach sa website ng COMELEC at Sky Cable.

Ninanakaw ng sindikato ang data na nakukuha sa ahensya at anumang tanggapan, para ibenta ang sensitibong impormasyon ng mga subscriber at nakarehistradong mga pangalan dito.

Sinabi ni NBI Director Jaime Santiago, ang pinaigting na operasyon ng kagawaran laban sa cybercrime ay bahagi ng pagtugon sa marching order ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na tapusin na ang tumataas na krimen mula sa online. | ulat ni Rey Ferrer
