Hinihintay na lamang ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang magiging desisyon ng Quezon City Local Government Unit.

Kaugnay ito sa mga grupong papayagang magsagawa ng kanilang pagtitipon sa ikatlong State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Ayon kay PNP Public Information Office Chief, Police Col. Jean Fajardo, sa katunayan ay mahigpit na nakikipag-ugnayan ang Quezon City Police District (QCPD) sa House of Representatives hinggil sa magiging latag ng seguridad para sa okasyon.

Gayunman, sinabi ni Fajardo na gaya ng mga nakalipas na SONA ng Pangulo ay may template nang sinusunod ang Pulisya para rito at magsasagawa sila ng mga kinakailangang adjustment kung kinakailangan depende sa sitwasyon.

Una nang sinabi ni National Capital Region Police Office Director at Security Task Force SONA 2024 Commander, Police Maj. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. na aabot sa humigit kumulang 22,000 pulis at force multipliers ang kanilang ide-deploy sa SONA.

Habang naghihintay na lamang din ng direktiba ang Quezon City Police District (QCPD) sa pagpapatupad ng signal jamming at gun ban sa mismong araw ng SONA.

Kasunod nito, sinabi ni Fajardo na mananatiling “No Rally Zone” ang bahagi ng Commonwealth Avenue partikular na iyong malapit sa Batasang Pambansa upang hindi na maging dagdag pasanin sa mga motoristang maaapektuhan ng ipatutupad na re-routing.  | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
