Hinimok ng Department of Tourism (DOT) ang mga local at foreign tourists na sumangguni sa kanilang tourist hotline sakaling makaranas ng anumang insidente habang bumibisita sa bansa.

Kasunod ito ng nag-viral na insidente ng pandurukot kung saan ang biktima ay isang Korean professional football player.

Sa Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas, sinabi ni DOT NCR Regional Director Sharlene Zabala-Batin na seryosong tinututukan nila ang mga ganitong ulat na nakakaapekto sa mga turista.

Aktibo umano silang nakikipag-ugnayan sa Pulisya at LGUs para masigurong agad natutugunan ang mga ganitong insidente.

Kasunod nito, sinabi ni Batin na maaaring mag-report ang mga turista sa kanilang hotline na 151-TOUR (151-8687), na isang 24/7 tourist assistance call center para makatulong maisaayos ang mga reklamo at katanungan ng mga dayuhang bisita sa Pilipinas. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
