Epekto ng “de-escalation talks” sa China, inaabangan pa ng AFP

Hindi pa masabi sa ngayon ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) kung nagkaroon ng positibong epekto ang “Bilateral Consultation Meeting” (BCM) na isinagawa noong Hulyo 2 sa pagitan ng China at Pilipinas para mapahupa ang tensyon sa West Philippine Sea.

Ayon kay Philippine Navy Spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea Rear Admiral Roy Vincent Trinidad, nagkaroon ng pagbaba sa bilang ng mga barko ng China sa West Phil. Sea sa nakalipas na buwan at bahagyang tumaas lang sa linggong ito, pero kung ito ay may kinalaman sa BCM ay titignan pa.

Ayon kay Trinidad, malalaman kung nagkaroon ng epekto ang BCM sa gagawing pagkilos ng China sa susunod na Rotation and Resupply Mission (RORE) sa BRP Sierra Madre.

Giit ni Trinidad, patuloy na gagampanan ng AFP ang kanilang mandato alinsunod sa Rules of engagement at international Law.

Nanindigan si Trinidad na ang lahat ng pagkilos ng Pilipinas sa West Phil. Sea ay “de-escalatory”, at ang Chinese Communist Party ang nagpapataas ng tensyon sa karagatan sa kanilang pangha-harass sa mga barko ng Pilipinas. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
