Posibleng ipagpaliban ang pagbubukas ng klase sa ilang paaralan na napinsala ng nagdaang habagat at bagyong Carina.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Education Secretary Sonny Angara na ang mga paaralang may malubhang pinsala ay bibigyan ng panahon upang makapagsagawa ng pagkukumpuni at paglilinis.

Hindi aniya pipilitin ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang mga paaralan na nasalanta at nahihirapan sa pagbubukas ng klase.

Habang ang mga paaralang walang pinsala o minimal lamang ang pinsala ay itutuloy ang pagbubukas ng klase sa Lunes, July 29.

Samantala, maglalabas din ang DepEd ng listahan bukas ng mga paaralang ipagpapaliban ang pasukan.

Patuloy ding makikipagtulungan ang mga regional director ng ahensya sa mga principal upang i-assess ang kahandaan ng mga paaralan sa pagbabalik eskwela. | ulat ni Diane Lear
