Pagdedeklara ng yellow alert status sa Luzon Power Grid, pinaiimbestigahan ni Sen. Gatchalian sa ERC

Nababahala si Senador Sherwin Gatchalian sa pagtataas ng yellow alert sa Luzon grid ng National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), nitong mga nakaraang araw.

Kapag nasa yellow alert ang isang power grid, nangangahulugan ito na bumababa na ang reserbang kuryente at malapit nang mag brownout kapag pumalya pa ang isang planta.

Ayon kay Gatchalian, sa ganitong panahon na malamig at umuulan ay hindi dapat nagkakaroon ng yellow o red alert sa mga power grid.

Dinagdag pa ng mambabatas, na kapag tag-ulan ay dapat na tumatakbo ang hydropower plants ng bansa.

Dahil dito, nanawagan ang senador sa Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) na silipin kaagad ang sitwasyon dahil para sa kanya ay hindi ito karaniwang nangyayari sa ganitong klima. | ulat ni Nimfa Asuncion
