Pagkakaroon ng Senate session tuwing Huwebes, ipapanukala ni SP Chiz Escudero sa mga kapwa senador

Kukumbisihin pa ni Senate President Chiz Escudero ang mga kasamahan niya sa Senado na magkaroon na rin sila ng sesyon tuwing Huwebes.

Paliwanag ni Escudero, ilalaan nila ang Huwebes sa pagtalakay ng mga local bills at ng ibang national bills na hindi naman kontrobersyal o hindi naman masyadong pagdedebatehan.

Sinabi ng Senate leader na isinusulong nila ito para makausad na ang mga local bills na nakabinbin sa kanilang kapulungan at hindi na ito kumain pa ng oras sa kanilang regular session tuwing Lunes hanggang Miyerkules.

Pinunto rin ng Senate president na kung maaaprubahan ito ay madadagdagan ang kanilang session days.

Mula kasi ngayon hanggang sa susunod na taon, bago ang 2025 Midterm Elections ay nasa 70 session days na lang ang mayroon sila.

Pero kung magkakaroon na rin sila ng sesyon tuwing Huwebes ay magiging 93 na ang kanilang session days hanggang sa susunod na taon. | ulat ni Nimfa Mae Asuncion
