Suportado ni House Deputy Majority Leader at TINGOG Party-list Representative Jude Acidre ang hakbang ng Solicitor General na maghain ng quo warranto case laban kay suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo.
Ayon kay Acidre, ngayong nailantad na ang totoong pagkatao ni Guo ay dapat niyang harapin ang bunga ng kaniyang pagsisinungaling.
“Now that there is proof that there is deceit, there is fraud in the procurement of those documents, certainly the law has to be applied. And in this case, the logical step is appeal to the solicitor general to file a quo warrantoso that whatever anomaly there is should be rectified,” saad ni Acidre.
Sinabi ni Acidre, hindi lang pambabastos sa electoral process ang ginawa ni Guo kundi pambabastos din sa pagka-Pilipino.
“Mayor Guo has made a mockery of our, not only siguro our electoral system, has made the mockery of being Filipino. And I think that alone…she should be ready to face the consequences,” dagdag ng mambabatas.
