Senate President Chiz Escudero, nakukulangan sa ₱35 daily minimum wage increase na inaprubahan sa Metro Manila

Hindi sapat para kay Senate President Chiz Escudero ang dagdag ₱35 sa daily minimum wage ng mga manggagawa sa National Capital Region (NCR).

Ayon kay Escudero, kulang ang umentong ito sa totoong pangangailangan ng mga manggagawa lalo na sa gitna ng tumataas na presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin.

Kinuwestiyon rin ng Senate leader ang basehan ng desisyon na ito ng Regional Tripartite Wage Productivity Board dahil hindi aniya nito sinasalamin ang totoong cost of living.

Pinunto ng senador na naipasa na ng Senado ang panukalang batas na nagsusulong ng ₱100 across the board wage increase.

Ito aniya ang dapat na minimum na pagtaas sa sahod na dapat ipatupad.
