“Throughout his career, Senator Angara has demonstrated a profound commitment to enhancing our educational system and championing our students’ and teachers’ rights and welfare. His impressive background and notable legislative work and education policy achievements equip him with the expertise needed to lead the DepEd with excellence,” sabi ni Romualdez.

“We welcome the appointment of Senator Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara as Secretary of Education. We need someone who intimately knows the ins and outs of our education system, and understands it from a finance and management perspective,” sabi ni Benitez.

“It is always the President’s prerogative on who he deems fit to occupy this crucial post. If it is Senator Angara, I have worked with him in many education related bills. For as long as the reforms are set in place, our working relationship will continue for the benefit of our students, teachers, and the educational system and its stakeholders. The problems that beset our educational system should be defined by the common goal of arriving at and providing quality education for all at every level,” ani Romulo.

“With Senator Angara at the helm, I am confident that the Department of Education will continue to develop a robust educational system that will improve the quality of learning of our students, as well as support the welfare of teachers and all educational personnel alike,” pahayag naman ni Salo. | ulat ni Kathleen Jean Forbes
