AFP Chief of Staff at Commander ng US Indo-Pacific Command, bumisita sa EDCA facilities sa Basa Air Base

Binisita nila Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff, General Romeo Brawner Jr. at United States Indo-Pacific Commander, Admiral Samuel Paparo ang Basa Air Base sa Pampanga.

Bahagi ito ng mga aktibidad na may kaugnayan sa isasagawang pagpupulong ng Mutual Defense Board at Security Engagement Board na nakatakdang isagawa sa Baguio City ngayong araw.

Doon, ininspeksyon nila Brawner at Paparo ang mga pasilidad na idine-develop sa ilalim ng Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Amerika.

Nakatuon ang ginawang pag-iikot sa mga upgrade at improvement sa operational capabilities ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) na magtataguyod ng interoperability sa pagitan ng dalawang Sandatahang Lakas.

Isa ang Basa Air Base sa mga itinalagang EDCA sites na naglalayong palakasin ang depensa at seguridad ng Pilipinas sa rehiyon ng Timog-Silangang Asya. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
