Bagong lagdang MOU sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Singapore, sisiguro sa patas na kompensasyon sa Filipino health workers sa SG

Makasisiguro ang mga Filipino healthcare worker sa Singapore ng patas na pagtrato at angkop na kompensasyon sa ilalim ng kalalagda lamang na memorandum of understanding (MOU), sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Singapore.

Sa Malacañang Insider, sinabi ni Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac na ang MOU na ito ay isang hakbang para sa proteksyon ng Filipino health workers.

“They’re already amply protected but this one heightens the protection, ensures fair, ethical, and sustainable recruitment for our OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers) nurses,” —Cacdac. 

Ibig sabihin, magiging kapantay ng sweldo ng mga Filipino healthcare worker ang sweldo ng kanilang Singaporean counterparts.

“Meaning our nurses will be paid similar to their Singaporean nurse counterparts. So, there will be no discrimination in that sense,” —Cacdac.

Kung matatandaan nitong buwan, personal na sinaksihan nina Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. at Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam ang pagpapalitan ng MOU.

Bukod dito, mayroon rin aniyang mga hakbang upang epektibong ma-reintegrate ang mga nurse.
