Pormal nang idineklara bilang “insurgency free” ang munisipyo ng Damulog sa Bukidnon sa isang seremonya sa Municipal Gymnasium kahapon.

Ang Damulog ang ikatlong bayan ng lalawigan kasunod ng San Fernando at Kadingilan, na tuluyang napalaya mula sa impluwensya ng mga teroristang komunista.

Sinabi ni Brigadier General Marion T. Angcao, Commander ng 1003rd Infantry (Raptor) Brigade, na ang okasyon ay testamento ng magandang koordinasyon sa pagitan ng mga miyembro ng unipormadong serbisyo, mga opisyal ng lokal na pamahalaan, at mga mamamayan na sama-samang nagtaguyod ng kapayapaan at progreso sa lalawigan.

Binati naman ni Major General Allan D. Hambala, Commander ng 10th Infantry (Agila) Division, ang mga tropa ng 48th Infantry (Guardians) Battalion, sa kanilang pagsisikap at sakripisyo sa tulong ng lokal na komunidad, na naging daan  sa makasaysayang kaganapan. | ulat ni Leo Sarne
