DOST regional office, magbibigay ng mobile technology at command vehicle sa Pintuyan, Southern Leyte

Magbibigay ang Department of Science and Technology (DOST) regional office ng mobile command at control vehicle sa local government unit ng Pintuyan, Southern Leyte, upang mapahusay ang pagsubaybay at pagtugon ng lalawigan sa panahon ng kalamidad.

Sinabi ni DOST-Eastern Visayas Regional Director John Glenn Ocaña na ang command vehicle ay may mga advanced features, tulad ng weather monitoring station, rescue quadcopter drone, global satellite communication, surveillance equipment at medical supplies.

Mayroon din itong portable boat para sa rescue operations at conference room na magsisilbing mobile command center.

Ang Pintuyan ay isa sa mga pinaka-apektadong bayan sa lalawigan ng Southern Leyte nang tumama ang Super Typhoon Odette noong December 2021.

Inaasahang ibibigay ng DOST ang pondo sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Pintuyan para sa pagbili ng naturang custom-made vehicle ngayong taon. | ulat ni Jollie Mar Acuyong
