Binigyang diin ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang kaniyang direktiba na i-develop at i-utilize ang space science and technology, para sa ika-uunlad pa ng bansa.

Ito ayon kay Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil ay kasabay na rin ng selebrasyon ng Philippine Space Week, kung saan ang Pangulo mismo ang nanguna sa ika-walong Philippine Space Council (PSC), meeting ngayong araw (August 12).
