Livestock at poultry inspections, itinayo sa QC

Nakipagtulungan na rin ang Quezon City Veterinary Department sa Bureau of Animal Industry para maiwasan ang pagkalat ng African Swine Fever (ASF) sa lungsod.

Kasunod ito ng pagtatayo ng livestock at poultry inspection areas o checkpoints sa ilang barangay sa lungsod.

Ayon sa QC LGU, target ng cross-infection na masuri ang mga pumapasok na buhay na hayop at animal products sa Quezon City.

Itatayo ang mga checkpoints sa Pearl Drive, Commonwealth, Kaingin Road, Balintawak, Mindanao Avenue-Tandang Sora Avenue, at Paang Bundok, NS Amoranto La Loma.

Magsisimula ang operasyon nito simula ngayong araw, August 14, at tatagal hanggang Disyembre ngayong taon.

Kasunod nito, nilinaw ng LGU na nananatiling ligtas sa ASF ang Quezon City dahil bawal ang pag-aalaga ng baboy sa lungsod. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
