Nasabat ng mga tauhan ng Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) ang nasa limang kilo ng hinihinalang shabu.

Ito’y kasunod ng ikinasang controlled delivery operation sa Arrival Area ng Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 sa Pasay City kagabi.

Sa ulat ni PDEG Director, Police Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta kay PNP Chief Police Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil, nagresulta ito sa pagkakaaresto ng isang African national na drug suspect.

Ayon kay Matta, papasok ng bansa ang naturang dayuhan bitbit ang mga hinihinalang shabu nang maharang ito matapos makita sa X-ray ang mga naturang kontrabando.

Katuwang ng PDEG sa nasabing operasyon ang iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan na kasapi ng NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (IADITG).

Agad dinala ang mga nakumpiskang ebidensya sa tanggapan ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) habang nahaharap naman sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 ang naarestong dayuhan. | ulat ni Jaymark Dagala
