Binigyang-pugay ngayon ni Speaker Martin Romualdez ang mga guro, mangingisda, Philippine Coast Guard, law enforcers, OFW, at mga atleta na itinuturing ngayong mga bagong bayani ng bansa.
Sa kaniyang mensahe sa selebrasyon ng National Heroes Day, sinabi Romualdez na maliban sa pag-alala sa ating mga matatapang na ninuno na lumabas para sa kalayaan at kasarinlan ng bayan, ay kilalanin din ang mga ordinaryong Pilipino na may natatanging kontribusyon sa Pilipinas at buong mundo.
Aniya, ipinapakita ng mga ordinaryong indibidwal na ito na hindi lang naipapamalas ang kabayanihan sa magiting na katapangan ngunit sa kung paano maglingkod sa kapwa at para sa ikabubuti ng nakararami.
Kabilang na aniya rito ang mangingisda sa Masinloc, mga guro na nagtuturo sa malalayong lugar, mga masisipag na OFWs at law enforcement personnel na nagbabantay sa ating teritoryo.
“Whether it’s the fishermen of Masinloc protecting our marine resources or the teachers in remote areas ensuring that no child is left behind, OFWs who represent the spirit of hard work, perseverance, and sacrifices for national development, and the men and women of the Philippine Coast Guard and other law enforcers who defend the country’s territorial integrity in the West Philippine Sea, these modern-day heroes exemplify the true essence of nation-building,” saad niya.
Kasama rin sa mga bayaning maipagmamalaki ayon sa lider ng Kamara ang mga atletang Pilipino na kumatawan sa Paris Olympics lalo na ang ating mga medalists na sina Carlos Yulo, Nesthy Petecio, at Aira Villegas.
“Their victories on the global stage demonstrate how perseverance and dedication can lead to extraordinary accomplishments. They too are modern heroes, representing our nation with honor and inspiring a new generation of athletes to pursue their dreams,” wika pa niya.
Sabi pa ng House Speaker ang pagtulong sa pagpapaunlad ng bansa ay maituturing nang kabayanihan na kayang gawin ng bawat isa.
“By doing their part in their communities and families, they are shaping the future of our country.
