Nagbabala ngayon ang Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) laban sa mga kumakalat na posts online kaugnay ng ₱5,000 cash assistance para sa National ID holders.

Ayon sa PSA, hindi ito dapat paniwalaan ng publiko dahil ito ay hindi nagmula sa ahensya at ito ay posibleng isang online scam.

Paliwanag pa ng PSA, bagamat ginagamit ang National ID bilang isang valid na patunay ng pagkakakilanlan sa iba’t ibang transaksyon, gaya ng pagaaply para sa mga benepisyo ng gobyerno, ang mga benepisyong ito ay ibinibigay batay sa mga alituntunin at regulasyon ng kaukulang ahensya.

Dahil dito, hinikayat ng PSA ang publiko na maging mapagmatyag at huwag magpaloko sa mga scam na ito.
