Pilipinas, nakatatanggap ng suporta mula sa iba’t ibang int’l space agencies

Nagpahayag ng suporta ang iba’t ibang international space agencies sa bansa, mula ng mabuo ang Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA).

Sa Malacañang Insider, sinabi ni PhilSA Director General Joel Marciano, Jr. ang mga ito pa ang lumalapit sa bansa, upang tanungin kung ano ang kanilang maitutulong.

Kabilang sa mga bansang ito ang Japan, na malaki ang papel na ginagampanan sa space technology activities ng Pilipinas.

“You know, when they first learned that the Philippines has a space agency, the first thing that we hear from them is, “Congratulations! How can I help you?” masayang tugon ni Marciano.

Kung matatandaan, wala pa ang PhilSA, nakasuporta na ang Japan sa mga programa ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST) at mga Filipino student, upang makamit ng mga ito ang Masters at Doctorate Degrees na mayroong kinalaman sa linyang ito.

“So, that’s really great. We were young, we were building up during the pandemic as well, and we have other countries extending assistance,” dagdag pa ni Marciano.

Bukod dito, una na ring lumagda ng kasunduan ang PhilSA kasama ang Argentina at United Arab Emirates.

At inaasahan na mas marami pang bansa ang magkakaroon ng kooperasyon sa PhilSA.

“So, we’ve signed agreements, I mentioned Japan. We signed an agreement also with Argentina, with the UAE.  There are more countries coming up soon that will sign cooperation agreements with us,” ani Marciano. | ulat ni Racquel Bayan
