Bilang pagtalima sa direktiba ng Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., itinulak ni Speaker Martin Romualdez at ng Tingog Party-list ang agarang pagpapalabas ng ₱20 milyong halaga ng cash assistance sa mga nasunugan sa Barangay 105 Aroma sa Tondo noong Sabado.
Tig-₱10,000 na tulong ang matatanggap ng 2,000 pamilyang nasunugan na kukunin sa Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
“We facilitated the immediate release of ₱20 million for the families affected by the Tondo fire, following President Marcos’ directive. This financial aid through the help of DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, along with our ongoing relief efforts, will provide these families with the resources they need to rebuild their lives,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.
Bukod sa cash assistance, nakipagtulungan din ang tanggapan ni Speaker Romualdez sa Tingog Party-list sa pamamahagi ng hot meals at relief goods mula mismo sa kanilang personal calamity funds.
Idinaan ang tulong sa pamamagitan ng tanggapan ni Manila 1st District Representative Ernesto ‘Ernix’ Dionisio Jr. para sa may 4,500 bowl ng lugaw at arroz caldo sa Vicente Lim evacuation center, Barangay 105 at Barangay 106 covered courts.
Ipinaabot naman ni Dionisio ang taos-pusong pasasalamat kina Pangulong Marcos, Speaker Romualdez, at DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian sa kagyat na pagtugon.
