AFP: Kumakalat na balita sa social media na nag-iimbak ng missile systems ang US sa Pilipinas, ‘fake news’

Mariing itinanggi ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang mga kumakalat na balita sa social media na umano’y may lihim na pag-iimbak ng missile systems ang Estados Unidos sa Pilipinas.

Ayon sa AFP, walang katotohanan at walang ano mang ebidensya na nagpapatunay na nagdala ng missiles ang C-17 Globemasters na isang US military transport aircraft sa bansa.

Pinaalalahanan din ng AFP ang publiko na huwag basta-basta maniwala sa mga kumakalat na litrato.

Bukod dito, itinanggi rin ng AFP ang ulat na nasangkot ang isang US Navy destroyer sa isang insidente sa Escoda Shoal at wala ring F-35s na nakabase sa Pag-asa Island.
