DOF, handang ipatupad ang bagong batas para wakasan ang economic sabotage sa bansa

Handa ang Department of Finance (DOF) katuwang ang Bureau of Customs (BOC) na ipatupad ang isinabatas na Anti-Economic  Sabotage Act o Republic Act 12022.

Ang bagong batas ay nagbibigay ngipin sa gobyerno na habulin ang mga smugglers, cartels, profiteers, at hoarders ng agricultural products upang  matiyak ang kasapatan ng pagkain ng mga  Pilipino.

Dahil sa Anti-Smuggling Act, mawawasakan na ang malawakang iligal na pagpupuslit ng agricultural product sa bansa  na makatutulong upang pataasin ang revenue koleksyon.

Ayon kay Finance Secretary Ralph Recto dahil sa mas pinalakas at mahigpit na batas laban sa mga violators, mapoprotektahan ang taumbayan na ma-access ang mas murang bilihin.

Aniya, ang RA12022 ay magpapalakas sa BOC na ipatupad ang letter authority upang umaksyon sa mga korporasyon na sagkot sa economic sabotage.   | ulat ni Melany Valdoz Reyes
