Sa pagharap ng Office of the President sa budget briefing ng Kamara ay kinilala ni House Appropriations Committee Chair Zaldy Co ang mahalagang papel ng tanggapan ng Pangulo sa national governance.
Isa na nga aniya rito ay ang matagumpay na high-profile arrest nina dating Bamban Mayor Alice Guo at Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Apollo Quiboloy.

Ipinaalala ni Co, na ang Office of the President ang sandigan ng gobyerno at may mahalagang papel sa pamamahala ng mga programa at pagpapatupad ng mga polisiya para sa pagsasakatuapran ng mga hangarin ng administrasyong Marcos Jr.

Kaya naman nangako ito na susuportahan ang paglalaan ng sapat na resources para masigurong maipatupad ng OP ang epektibo at episyenteng pagtugon ng pamahalaan.
Binigyan linaw naman ni Senior vice-chairperson Stella Quimbo, na bagamat maaga na-terminate sa committee level ang budget ng OP bilang bahagi ng tradisyon ay hindi ibig sabihing aprubado na ang budget nito.
Paliwanag niya, sasalang pa ang OP sa budget deliberations sa plenaryo kung saan mas lalo pang hihimayin ang ipinapanukala nitong pondo.
“Paglilinaw lang po sa ating mga kababayan na maring nanonood ngayon. Ngayong umaga po wala pa pong approval na nangyayari sa budget ng ating OP. Nagpepresent lang po ang ating OP sa atin ng kanilang budget at in the end mayroon pa pong isang pagkakataon yun pong pelanry debates na maguumpisa po sa septembetr 16. At rest assured na lahat ng mga katanungan ay meron pa pong isa pang pagkakataon which is during the plenary debates at napakahusay naman ang ating budget sponsor, of course the Hon.
