Kinumpirma ni House Appropriations Vice-Chair Jil Bongalon na ilan sa mga biktima ni Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Apollo Quiboloy ang nasa ilalim na ng Witness Protection Program (WPP)

Sa interpelasyon ni Gabriela party-list Rep. Arlene Brosas sa panukalang budget ng Department of Justice, natanong nito kung mayroon na bang mga biktima ang nag-apply sa WPP.

Tugon ni Bongalon na siyang budget sponsor, halos kalahati na ng mga biktima ni Quiboloy ay nasa WPP at inaasahan na madaragdagan pa.

“more than half of the victims are already in the Witness Protection Programs and more will be considered under this program.” ani Bongalon

Batay rin sa Department of Justice (DOJ), nahaharap sa dalawang kaso ng child abuse si Quiboloy at isang human trafficking case.

Tiniyak din ng DOJ, sa pamamagitan ni Bongalon na sakaling mag-request ng extradition ang US para kay Quiboloy na mayroon ding kinakaharap na kaso doon ay tatalima ang Pilipinas.

Gayunman, uunahin muna na tapusin ang mga kaso niya dito sa bansa bago sa US.

“With respect to the extradition issue, Mr. Speaker, distinguished colleague, we will finish first all the cases filed with the local courts of our country before we can proceed with the extradition…there’s no official request from the U.S. government with respect to the extradition.
