Mariing kinondena ni Speaker Martin Romualdez ang panibagong insidente ng aggression ng China sa West Philippine Sea kung saan binagga ng China Coast Guard ang BRP Teresa Magbanua sa Escoda (Sabina) Shoal.
Diin ng House Speaker, handang depensahan ng Pilipinas ang soberanya ng bansa kasabay ng patuloy na commitment sa payapang pakikipagdayalogo para ito ay maresolba.

Ang pagbangga ng China Coast Guard sa BRP Teresa Magbanua, na isa sa pinakamalaki at advance na patrol vessel ng bansa, ang ikalimang insidente ng agresyon ng China sa Pilipinas.
Sabi pa niya na lalo lang naku kuwestyon ang kawalan ng paggalang ng China sa international Law at dignidad ng Pililinas dahil sa mga aksyon nito.
“With a heavy heart and unwavering resolve, I strongly condemn the recent acts of aggression by the China Coast Guard in the West Philippine Sea. The ramming of the BRP Teresa Magbanua, one of our largest and most modern patrol vessels, is a troubling incident that raises serious questions about respect for international law and our nation’s dignity,” aniya.
Ipinaabot din ng lider ng Kamara ang malinaw na mensahe na dapat igalang ng China ang ating soberanya.
Saad niya na bagamat hangad ng bansa na maayos ang isyu sa payapang paraan, ay nauubos rin ang pasensya ng Pilipinas.
“To the government of the People’s Republic of China, I wish to convey our deep dismay at these developments. The Filipino people are committed to peace, yet we expect our sovereignty to be respected..We continue to hope for constructive dialogue, but it is clear that our patience is being tested. We have an obligation, under our Constitution and as a member of the international community, to defend our territory,” punto niya.
Muli namang nanawagan si Speaker Romualdez na pagtulungang palakasin ang ating miltar at coast guard upang mas maprotektahan ang ating teritoryo gayundin ay pagtibayin pa ang alyansa sa ibang nasyon.
