ARAL Law, titiyakin na walang mag-aaral ang maiiwan sa learning process

Pinapurihan ni Speaker Martin Romualdez ang ganap na pagiging batas ng Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Law.


Diin ng lider ng Kamara, na ang makasaysayang batas na ito ay titiyak na ang mga mag-aaral sa pampubliko at pribadong eskwelahan na hirap makasabay sa learning process ay hindi maiiwan.


Ang ARAL program ang magiging national academic intervention program ng pamahalaan para mapalakas pa ang ating edukasyon, lalo na sa mga estudyante na hirap sa kanilang mga aralin partikular sa reading, mathematics at science.


“The law is consistent with the economic development mantra of the Marcos administration that calls for giving every Filipino the opportunity to improve so that he catches up with the rest of our population in terms of making life better for themselves. It seeks to address issues on learning difficulties of basic education learners and provide solutions based on assessments by DepEd personnel,” sabi ng House Speaker


Kabilang sa mga target matulungan ng ARAL ay ang mga bumabagsak sa exams at test, may mga grado na “marginally above” ng minimum level of mastery ng Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs), at mga nagbabalik sa pag aaral matapos huminto.


Nakapaloob din sa batas ang pagbibigay ng sapat na kompensasyon para sa teachers, para-teachers, at pre-service teachers na siyang magsisilbing tutors sa ARAL programs.


Hindi naman maaaring i-tutor ng isang teacher ang kaniyang sariling estudyante sa ilalim ng programa.


Kukunin ang pampondo sa kompensasyon ng teacher tutors sa DBM, habang ang budget para sa para-teachers ay kukunin mula sa budget ng DepEd o ng special education fund ng LGU kung saan naroroon ang eskwelahan.


Ang tutoring services naman ng pre-service teachers ay ikokonsidera bilang teaching experience kapag sila ang nag-apply ng plantilla position sa DepEd. | ulat ni Kathleen Forbes
