Sa pagpapatuloy ng pagdinig ng House Committee on Good Government, humarap si Atty. Resty Osias na naitalaga bilang direktor sa Department of Education (DepEd) noong panahong kalihim nito si Vice President Sara Duterte.
Pagbabahagi ni Osias sa komite, nakatanggap siya ng apat na envelope mula Abril hanggang Setyembre ng 2023.
Naglalaro aniya ang halaga nito sa ₱12,000 hanggang ₱15,000 na kaniyang nakuha, mula kay noo’y Assistant Secretary Sunshine Fajarda.
“I must say I did, but I didn’t know because I was new in the department, I thought it was a practice of the department. I didn’t know why I was summoned to the office of Asek Shine and then I was given an envelope and it was later on I found out that there was money in it but it was not because I was a BAC member or whatever yet because I was not at that time,” paliwanag ni Osias.
Matatandaan na sa naunang pagdinig ng komite ay isiniwalat ni dating Education Undersecretary Gloria Jumamil Mercado na siyang head of procuring entity o HOPE, na nakatanggap siya ng siyam na envelope na may tig-₱50,000 na laman noong 2023.
Nabuksan na lamang niya ito nang siya ay magretiro. Idinonate niya ang kabuuang halaga na ₱450,000 sa isang non-government organization.
Maging si dating DepEd Spokesperson Michael Poa, sinabi na may mga nakuha rin siyang pera, ngunit posibleng ito ay sa mga paluwal niya na ₱3,000 hanggang ₱5,000 kapag nagkakaroon ng problema.
“I do remember sometime December 2022 or early December, I did receive an envelope, just minimal amount…. When people come to me as a spokesperson, sometimes they tell problems, I would give at the end of the day ang kailangan pala nila, ₱3,000, ₱5,000. So nagbibigay ako personally.
