Nakikipag-ugnayan na ang Department of National Defense (DND) sa Singapore kaugnay sa kanilang airlift capability at iba pang manpower na maaaring maipahiram sa Pilipinas.
Bilang paghahanda ito sa gagawing pagbaba ng National Government sa mga komunidad, sa oras na humupa na ang tubig baha bunsod ng bagyong Kristine.
Sa situation briefing sa NDRRMC, inilatag kay Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang ilan sa mga ipinatutupad at ipatutupad na hakbang ng gobyerno para sa mga Pilipinong, pinaka-apektado ng bagyo.
Ayon kay Defense Secretary Gibo Teodoro, nakausap na aniya ang Singaporean Ambassador para dito.
“I have already talked to our Singaporean Ambassador to marshal their capabilities for airlift and other manpower assistance that they can pitch in. And we will talk to our traditional partners in the next few days in anticipation of airlift needs and other rescue needs.” -Secretary Teodoro
Nakikipag-ugnayan na rin aniya ang pamahalaan sa Brunei, Indonesia, at Malaysia, para sa iba pang assistance na maaari nilang maiabot sa Pilipinas.
Ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) naman, una na ring nakausap ang kanilang counterpart sa Estados Unidos, para sa mga ipahihiram na air assets ng US, na ilalapag sa EDCA Sites.
“In terms of the airlift capability, we already have alerted most of our aircraft. But yesterday we also coordinated with our US counterparts and they are ready to send in their aircraft using our EDCA sites. And then if other countries are coming in, we will also establish our multinational coordinating centers.”– AFP COS Gen Brawner
Ayon kay Secretary Teodoro, inatasan na niya ang kanilang mga tauhan na gumawa na ng pagtataya sa posibleng lala o lawak ng mga pag-ulan sa bansa sa mga susunod na araw, upang matumbasan ito at ma-preposisyon na ang mga kakailanganing air assets o lift capabilities.
