Quad Comm, nanindigan na walang documentary evidence sa war on drugs na isusumite sa ICC

Muling iginiit ng Quad Committee ng Kamara na wala silang ibabahagi o isusumiteng dokumento sa International Criminal Court o ICC na may kaugnayan sa imbestigasyon ng war on drugs.

Ito ay sa gitna ng mga panawagan na isumite ng Quad Comm ang mga natuklasan nito sa pagdinig sa ICC.

Diin ni Surigao del Norte Representatives Robert Ace Barbers, over-all chair ng Quad Comm, hindi magbibigay ng dokumento o transcript ang komite dahil hindi naman miyembro ng ICC ang Pilipinas.

Gayunman malaya aniya sila na gamitin ang kopya ng mga pagdinig na ipinalabas sa mga social media platform.

“Well as I always say every time I’ve been asked by the media, we cannot submit anything to the ICC. We cannot even allow them access to our records. But if they use the proceedings under the different social media platforms, they can do so because it’s public. But as far as us submitting to the ICC the documents that we have, we will not do that.” diin ni Barbers

Ang tiyak naman ani Barbers ay handa silang bigyan ng access ang Philippine National Police (PNP) at Department of Justice (DOJ) sa mga transcript at dokumento na kanilang kakailanganin sa imbestigasyon na kanilang ikakasa.

“Motu proprio yan sa PNP at sa DOJ to conduct preliminary investigation at siguro case build-up kung mayroon na. They can use the transcript of the Quadcomm hearing as well as the submissions or the documentary evidences that they have submitted to us and they can access that.” ani Barbers

Sinabi na rin ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, na nananatili ang posisyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na hindi na babalik ang Pilipinas sa ICC. | ulat ni Kathleen Forbes
