Ikinagalak ni Senate Committee on Public Services Chairperson Senador Raffy Tulfo ang pagsuspinde ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) sa administrative order (AO) tungkol sa vehicle registration transfer (AO-VDM-2024-046).

Sa naging pagdinig ng kanyang komite, una nang kinuwestiyon ni Tulfo ang guidelines na ito ng LTO.

Kabilang na dito ang kakulangan sa proper information dissemination at napakalaking multang ipapataw sa mga buyer at sellers ng second-hand vehicles, na hindi nai-report ang bentahan at hindi nailipat sa bagong may-ari ang rehistro ng sasakyan sa itinakdang deadline, kahit pa nangyari ang bentahan bago pa man nailabas ang nasabing AO.

Giit ng senador, dapat mabigyan ang mga buyer at seller ng sapat na panahon para makasunod sa transfer of ownership guidelines.

Kaugnay nito, nakatakda na rin aniyang magbalangkas muli ng panibagong AO ang LTO.

Para sa mambabatas, isa itong hakbang tungo sa tamang direksyon.
