Bagyong Ofel, isa nang Super Typhoon; Signal no. 5, nakataas na sa ilang lugar sa Cagayan

Dahil sa rapid intensification, lumakas pa at isa na ngayong Super Typhoon ang Bagyong Ofel.

As of 7am, ang sentro ng Bagyong Ofel ay naitala sa 165 km East Northeast ng Echague, Isabela taglay na ang lakas ng hanging aabot sa 185 km/h malapit sa gitna at pagbugsong 230 km/h.

Kumikilos ito pa-hilagang kanluran sa bilis sa 15km/h.

Dahil dito, nakataas na ngayon ang Signal no. 5 sa northeastern portion ng mainland Cagayan (Santa Ana, Gonzaga).

Nasa Signal no. 4 naman ang southeastern portion ng Babuyan Islands (Camiguin Is.), northern at eastern portions ng mainland Cagayan (Santa Teresita, Ballesteros, Aparri, Camalaniugan, Buguey, Lal-Lo, Allacapan, Gattaran, Baggao, Peñablanca) at northeastern portion ng Isabela (Maconacon, Divilacan, Palanan).

Itinaas naman sa Signal no. 3 ang nalalabing bahagi ng Babuyan Islands, nalalabing bahagi ng Cagayan, northern, central, at southeastern portions ng Isabela (San Pablo, Delfin Albano, Ilagan City, Tumauini, Cabagan, Santa Maria, Santo Tomas, San Mariano, Dinapigue), northern portion ng Apayao (Flora, Santa Marcela, Luna, Pudtol, Calanasan, Kabugao), at northern portion ng Ilocos Norte (Pagudpud, Adams, Dumalneg).

Nasa Signal no. 2 ang Batanes, western at southern portions ng Isabela (Quezon, Quirino, Mallig, San Manuel, Aurora, Cabatuan, City of Cauayan, Benito Soliven, Naguilian, Gamu, Burgos, Reina Mercedes, Luna, Roxas, Angadanan, Alicia, San Guillermo, Echague, Jones, San Agustin, San Mateo, San Isidro), northeastern portion ng Quirino (Maddela), nalalabing bahagi ng Apayao, Kalinga, northeastern portion ng Abra (Tineg, Lacub, Malibcong, Lagayan, San Juan, Lagangilang, Licuan-Baay, Daguioman), eastern portion ng Mountain Province (Paracelis), eastern portion ng Ifugao (Alfonso Lista), nalalabing bahagi ng Ilocos Norte, at northern portion ng Aurora (Dilasag).

Habang nasa Signal no. 1 ang nalalabing bahagi ng Isabela, nalalabing bahagi ng Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, nalalabing bahagi ng Mountain Province, nalalabing bahagi ng Ifugao, nalalabing bahagi ng Abra, northern portion ng Benguet (Bokod, Mankayan, Kapangan, Atok, Kabayan, Kibungan, Bakun, Buguias, Tublay), Ilocos Sur, northern portion ng La Union (Luna, Sudipen, Bangar, Santol, San Gabriel, Bagulin, Bacnotan, Balaoan, San Juan), at northern at central portions ng Aurora (Casiguran, Dinalungan, Dipaculao, Maria Aurora, Baler, San Luis).

May banta pa rin ng storm surge sa coastal localities sa Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Cagayan kabilang ang Babuyan Islands, Isabela, at northern Aurora habang may Gale Warning din na nakataas sa northern at eastern seaboards ng Northern Luzon at eastern seaboard ng Central Luzon.
