Nasa 100,000 mga dayuhang Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) employees ang hindi pa napapa-deport base sa datos ng Bureau of Immigration (BI).

Ito ang ibinahagi ni Senador Grace Poe, na siyang tumatayong sponsor ng panukalang 2025 budget ng Department of Justice (DOJ), sa naging pagtalakay sa plenaryo ng panukalang 2025 budget ng ahensya kung saan attached agency ang BI.

Sa datos ng ahensya, nasa 1,379 na ang napa-deport nila habang nasa 1,172 naman ang repatriated.

Ipinaliwanag rin ni Poe na matapos ma-rescue ang mga POGO workers na ito ay iniimbestigahan isa-isa ang kanilang mga kaso.

Una munang dina-downgrade ang kanilang visa habang dinidinig ang kanilang mga kaso at saka dedesisyunan kung sila ay “for deportation” o “for repatriation.”

Samantala, napag-alaman rin mula sa BI na mayroong 20,349 na mga Pilipinong na off-load o hindi pinayagang makalabas ng bansa dahil sa iba’t ibang dahilan.

Sinabi ni Poe na may mahigpit na panuntunan na ang Immigration sa offloading, kasama na ang pwedeng magreklamo sa Ombudsman o sa Civil Service Commission ng pasaherong mao-offload at kailangan may body-worn camera ang Immigration officer na mag-iinterview sa pasahero. | ulat ni Nimfa Mae Asuncion
