Nagsagawa ng workshop ang Presidential Communications Office (PCO) para sa mga government at private media practitioner na pinamagatang “Covering the Crisis: Media Workshop on Disaster Communications” sa Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) nitong Sabado, November 23.

Layon ng inisyatiba na pataasin ang kamalayan at kasanayan ng mga mamamahayag para sa mas epektibong pag-uulat sa mga kalamidad.

Gayundin, upang tugunan ang mga isyu sa ‘disaster-communications,’ partikular sa paghahatid ng komprehensibo, napapanahon, at wastong pamamahayag ukol sa mga sakuna.

Tinalakay rin sa naturang workshop ang kahalagahan ng pagpili at paggamit ng mga salita upang mas madaling maunawaan ang isang balita.
