Napuna ni Senate Minority Leader Koko Pimentel ang tila ‘rollercoaster’ o taas-babang performance ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) sa nakalipas na mga taon.Sa plenary deliberations ng panukalang 2025 budget ng Governance Commission for Government-Owned or Controlled Corporations (GCG), nausisa ni Pimentel ang gradong binigay ng ahensya sa PhilHealth.

Noong 2016, nakakuha ang PhilHealth ng 93.97 percent na marka; noong 2017 ay bumagsak ito sa 47.82%; 2018 ay umakyat muli sa 78.17%; 62.25 percent noong 2019; bumaba muli sa 13.75% noong 2020; 28.07 percent noong 2021 at 71.87% noong 2022.

Kasalukuyan pa aniyang sumasailalim sa evaluation ang para sa taong 2023.

Ipinaliwanag ni Estrada na kailangang makakuha ng score na 90 percent pataas ng isang GOCC para maging eligible silang makakuha ng performance-based bonus.

Binigyang diin naman ni Pimenel, na mahalaga ang tungkulin ng GCG dahil sila ang magtitiyak na ginagawa ng mga GOCC ng mahusay ang kani-kanilang mga mandato. | ulat ni Nimfa Asuncion
