Sa pagsalubong sa 2025, hinikayat ng public health advocacy network na Healthy Philippines Alliance (HPA) ang mga Pilipino at kanilang pamilya na simulan ang Bagong Taon sa pamamagitan ng pagpapahalaga sa kalusugan.

Ito ay para maiwasan ang non-communicable diseases (NCDs) tulad ng diabetes, kanser, at sakit sa puso.

Panawagan nito sa mga Pinoy, lalo na sa kabataan, unahin ang mas malusog na mga gawi tulad ng pagpapalit ng mga pagkaing hindi masustansya ng mas masustansyang alternatibo.

Iwasan na rin ang ultra-processed food (UPF) tulad ng chips, hotdog, sweetened beverages, at iba pang instant na produkto, at piliin ang whole foods, kabilang ang mas maraming prutas at gulay.

Binigyang-diin din ng grupo ang kahalagahan ng pag-inom ng mas maraming tubig, pagbawas sa alak, pag-iwas sa paninigarilyo at vaping, pagiging aktibo sa pisikal na aktibidad, at pagkakaroon ng sapat na tulog. | ulat ni Merry Ann Bastasa
