Inaasahan na ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang malaking pagtaas ng bilang mga lalabas ng bansa sa unang linggo ng 2025.

Ayon sa Immigration, ang projected numbers nila ay higit sa 40,000 per day matapos ang New Year’s celebration.

Ayon kay BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado, na sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), na-monitor nila na ang daily arrivals ay nasa 40,000 nitong Disyembre at mayroon pang araw na umabot ng 51,000 ang arrivals sa isang araw.

Paliwanag ng opisyal, matapos ang Pasko ay nakakapagtala na ang BI ng nasa 40,000 na daily departures.

Inaasahan na aniya niyang mas tataas pa ito matapos ang bagong taon, dahil magbabalikan na ang mga OFW sa kanilang mga trabaho habang uuwi na rin ang mga Pinoy na nakatira sa ibang bansa. | ulat ni Lorenz Tanjoco
